ADRIANA DOMENECH
Adriana Domenech is a Spanish intuitive abstract artist based in Costa Rica for more than 15 years. She loves the freedom and present sense that intuitive abstract allows. She creates powerful original artworks on canvas or paper using acrylic paints in bright colors and mixed media, with appealing texture and mark-making for visual interest.
She rarely starts a piece with a plan or structure as she considers daily life to have enough of that, that is why she worships the idea of not knowing what will happen during her work process.
Her inspiration comes from two main sources: her 3 little children and the wildlife and nature all around the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica where she lives. Her children make her go back to where spontaneity is the only rule while the Osa rainforest brings together the explosion of color and light to her mind.
In a world where she often lacks the precise words to verbalize her feelings, she finds in abstract art the best way to express herself, be present, alive, and let go.
